Just a Thought

Given THE dub's ruthless PR associates, and the idea that these people might not be so stupid as to purposely allow THE dub to carry out the demeanor he fashioned in the first debate, is it plausible to think that maybe he wore a sour face in the first debate on purpose?

Here's my thought: I figure that THE dub's Rovian associates are well aware of what works best to influence the collective public psyche and therefore had to of considered numerous dimensions of ways to play with these debates. Honestly, how long did it take the campaigns to agree on a thirty-plus page list of debate rules? Wouldn't there be a sort of comeback effect (or at least an attempt at one) if THE dub went from sour, to the Cheney dozer, to confident, not-so-sour dub?

I suppose none of this matters, since whatever they did try to do, they failed at it.
