Lock your doors, the election stealers are coming...

K, so I've heard enough about this in the past few days that I feel like I should write something on the matter. Just a couple of things:

First, it is possible that the monkey crew is seeking congressional guidelines for the event in which elections would be postponed and/or cancelled because of worry over how such an event would be handled. Ya know, just to be safe about things... Right.

Essentially, the way I understand this issue is that if something were to happen, say, a terra attack, then the current prez' administration will have the authority to cancel elections. This is the type of thing that I thought about 2 years ago and now we're actually preparing for such a scenario... Based on non-credible evidence about shadowy figures in the night that would like to "disrupt our democratic process".

After all, I don't doubt that our enemies would want to keep dubya where he is so that they can continue to take advantage of his lack of foreign policy experience. What I don't get is why the election would have to be cancelled... It would presumably have to be something rather disastrous to warrant such a cancellation. Along with every other warning that we've received about terra, this one seemed especially pointless. When Ridge was asked "is there a credible threat", he had to answer, "no, unfortunately not". Then why say anything at all?!?! It was less than three weeks ago that a similar warning was publicly issued by the dep of homeland security...

And this time, to many people's suspicions, the monkey wants to make sure he stays prez if something happens. Maybe it's part of psychological operations. In relation to this, Orcinus provides a link to some interesting documents regarding psyops... in any case, my instink is telling me that sompthin don't smell right.

Or maybe we should all just be aware that there are monsters and faceless figures out there that seek to disrupt our elections... Be afraid, be very afraid, for as it stands now, there are no guidelines for canceling the election process, and it is exactly that which this administration would like to know how to do.
