Dear Dr. Sumner:

I confess that I am a poor sinner who truly deserves the eternal judgment of God in Hell forever because of my wickedness. But I also believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid the penalty for my sins through His death, burial and resurrection, making it possible for me to gain Heaven. Right now, as honestly as I know how, I repent of my sins and ask Him to save me. I do now open my heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask Him to come in. I want Him to give me everlasting life now as He promised, then take me to Heaven when my earthly life is over. I trust Him to do it. I will confess Him as my Savior before others as soon as I have the opportunity. With His help, I want to live for Him the rest of my life.

All I've got to say is that an eternal (yeah. That's a reeeally lonnnng time) stay in hell might be a bit harsh, even for an omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent god. Maybe I'm failing to see the big picture.
