Philosophy. Some things it is not. (interlude)

I wouldn't post on this if I hadn't heard it enough times, but really folks, philosophy is NOT psychology. Some philosophers may also be psychologists, but not all philosophers are psychologists, and not all psychologists are philosophers, but some psychologists may also be philosophers.

Nor is it esoteric inaccessible (not always anyway) and/or pointless.

Nor does one have to travel to a Tibetan monastery to practice it.

When a group of relatives asks you what you're studying in college (and you happen to be studying philosophy), you can expect that the next time they see you they will make reference to you as the "psychologist in the family".

Okay, the two words are kinda similar. I mean, they do both start with a "p". Which is why I often equate paper with platypus, and bike with bus.... In fact, I see no need for silly distinctions. It's all just a big blur to me, and I really don't care about the difference between a bike and a bus. What, after all, is a duck-billed Platypus to a shred of Paper? I know! They are the SAME thing!

*Third section, Philosophy. Why. coming soon (or later. Or perhaps another interlude? You never can tell...)

Precursors to this interlude: Intro and What.
