Taking a Break

Why-- can someone tell me-- does the president get to take a month off from Washington? I know, he can work in Texas just the same -- but is it really the same? I don't think so. At the ranch, captain leisurely most likely needs to be attentive to a fraction of his normal responsibilities, as opposed to the noise surrounding the house he chose to live in (or not live in, as it may be) for an unbelievable eight years. On top of it, most of the cable newz peeps nonchalantly mention it as if taking a month off is a natural thing to do for a person of such status. After all, he is the president... or a modern day quasi-Caligula . Shouldn't we hold this person to a certain standard? I'd be curious to see how many former presidents decided that they needed to go home for extended periods of time.

Workin' hard. Thinkin about things.
