First -Avenue Bites the Dust

Just heard this on the rerun of local 10:00 news:

First-Avenue has closed its doors...

... I've been to quite a few concerts at this downtown Minneapolis nightclub and I have to say, it was a unique place. If you've ever seen Prince's (or does he go by the artist formerly known as prince?) movie Purple Rain, then it might be interesting to know that much of that movie was filmed at First-Avenue.

Wow. Strange. I will never see a show there again.
