Well hidey-ho...
Hello all, just a few things...
I've heard of a few instances recently where dub supporters have turned into these things and acted like monkies with less than signifigant thought-processes. First, a 55 yr old social studies teacher who wanted to attend a dubya campaign speech had her ticket ripped up and was refused entry because she wore a kerry sticker on her shirt.(via theCrankpot)
Second, a woman in Seattle had her vehicle damaged because she sported a kerry bumper sticker... these lovely people took the liberty of painting "bushin2004" on her car in red paint and the proceeded to hang a confederate flag on the back...sigh.(via corrente, via orcinus) Also, check out the pic at the top of the orcinus page of a dub supporter trying to silence a protester, literally... it's like a knee-jerk reaction for some of these people to make attempts at silencing any opposition.
Third, supporters at a new mexico dub rally were required to sign an oath to the monkey prior to admission, so their names can be used on the campaign trail . These people had to sign this to get in... pledge an oath... christ.
Aside from these, I've been privy to numerous stories involving this adminstrations attempts at keeping "those who oppose" out of their events. Dub even said on larry king live last week that he, "doesn't have time to worry about why people don't like him". This was in response to a question from larry about how dub felt in regards to the "political climate in washington"; something of which I will write about in a different post. Laters.
